Happy birthday to me!

Hello! So you’ve read quite some posts from me already, but know so little about who I am. So why not introduce myself a bit better? And when better to talk about myself than around my birthday? 😉 That by the way is June the 12th. Here are 50 facts about me!

Olá! Então vocês já leram tantos textos meus, mas sabem tão pouco sobre mim. Então porque não me introduzir melhor? E que melhor altura para falar sobre mim mesma que por volta do meu aniversário? Que já agora é dia 12 de Junho. 😉 Aqui estão 50 factos sobre mim!

1.My favourite colours are lilac and yellow, but the ones I wear the most are navy, white and red. Yes, like the colours of the french flag. I knew they were always on to something 😉

a. As minhas cores preferidas são o lilás e o amarelo, mas as que mais uso são o azul, branco e vermelho. Sim, tal como a bandeira de França. Eu sabia que eles sempre perceberam da coisa 😉

2. My favourite food is actually soup! Carrot soup, to be exact. I don’t know anyone else that feels the same about soup.

b.A minha comida favorita é sopa! Sopa de cenoura, para ser mais exata. Eu não conheço mais ninguém cujo prato favorita seja sopa.

3.I absolutely love travelling. I love big cities and have been to London, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Paris, Lisbon, Porto and Boston. My favourite of them all is Glasgow, it is very beautiful. So I’ve been to 5 different countries and 2 different continents so far.

c.Eu absolutamente adoro viajar. Amo grandes cidades e já estive em Londres, Glasgow, Edimburgo, Paris, Lisboa, Porto e Boston. A minha favorita de todas é Glasgow, que é lindíssima. Portanto já estive em 5 países e 2 continentes diferentes.

4.My dream career was being a flight attendant, which I was for a period of 8 months. I was based out of London Stansted Airport.

d.A minha carreira de sonho era ser comissária de bordo, que fui por um período de 8 meses. A minha base era o aeroporto de Londres, Stansted.

5. I am gemini, as you can figure out. And I definitely believe there are two sides of me. I once believed I was bipolar, now I just have figured out how to deal with it.

e.Sou signo gémeos, como já podem ter percebido. E acredito que possuo definitivamente dois lados diferentes. Por uns tempos julguei que era bipolar, agora simplesmente aprendi a lidar com isso.

6.I have very sensitive skin to the touch, so it is possible to tickle me in every body part. But I have a special reaction when the tip of my nose is lightly touched.

f.Tenho a pele muito sensível ao toque, portanto é possível eu sentir cócegas em qualquer área. Mas tenho uma reação especial quando me tocam de leve na ponta do nariz

7.I love jazz music, which is something I got from my father. He plays the saxofone and has taught me to play the notes.

g.Eu adoro música jazz, algo que adquiri do meu pai. Ele toca saxofone e já me ensinou a tocar a escala de notas.

8.I actually play the guitar and sing. I learned by myself and some very patient friends.

h.Eu toco viola e canto. Aprendi a tocar sozinha e com a ajuda de uns muito pacientes amigos.

9.I was a scouts girl for 9 years. It was definitely one of the best experiences of my life.

i.Fui escuteira (CNE) durante 9 anos. Foi definitivamente uma das melhores experiências da minha vida.

10.I speak portuguese and english fluently. I also speak (basic A level) german and french, since I’ve learned both of them for 3 years. I can understand quite the bite of spanish and italian, which are the other two languages I want to study next. Yes, I really love to learn new languages!

j.Eu sou fluente em português e inglês. Também falo (nível A básico) alemão e francês, pois estudei cada uma por 3 anos. Consigo entender bastante espanhol e italiano, que são as duas línguas que quero aprender de seguida. Sim, adoro aprender novas línguas!

11.I’ve lived abroad 3 different times. The first time was in Alloa, a small city between Glasgow and Edinburgh, Scotland. I lived there with my sister and her husband while studying English in Glasgow. Then I lived in Lisbon, Portugal, with my aunt, while studying to become a flight attendant. And then I lived in Bishops Stortford, the closest city to London, England, while working there as a flight attendant.

k.Já vivi no estrangeiro 3 vezes diferentes. A primeira vez foi em Alloa, uma pequena cidade entre Glasgow e Edimburgo, Escócia. Vivi ali com a minha irmã e o seu marido enquanto estudava inglês em Glasgow. Depois, vivi em Lisboa, Portugal, com a minha tia enquanto estudava para me tornar comissária de bordo. E por fim vivi em Bishops Stortford, a cidade mais perto de Londres, Inglaterra, enquanto lá trabalhava como comissária de bordo.

12.I wore dental braces for 4 years! Now I have a perfect Aquafresh smile 😉 haha

l.Usei aparelho dentário por 4 anos! Agora tenho sorriso perfeito Aquafresh 😉 haha

13.Something that I have too much of in my closet? DRESSES. I simply love them, it is almost like I collect them.

m.Algo que tenho em demasia no meu guarda-fato? VESTIDOS. Simplesmente adoro e quase que colecciono 

14.I love chocolate and bread, but not together.

n.Amo chocolate e pão, mas não quando juntos.

15.I am definitely a dog person. Can enjoy the company of a cat, but I think they are evil. I want to rescue a dog from the dog kennel one day.

o.Gosto mais de cães do que de gatos. Consigo apreciar a companhia de um gato, mas eu acho que eles são malvados. Quero um dia resgatar um cão do canil.

16.I love board games and I usually get my friends together to play into the night. I am not very good at video games, but if they are interesting enough I can enjoy them too.

p.Adoro jogos de tabuleiro e costumo juntar os meus amigos para noitadas de jogos. Não tenho muito jeito para vídeo jogos, mas se forem interessantes o suficiente também gosto.

17.I love playing group sports. My favourite one is badminton, which my father introduced to me when I was very little. I won a school tournament around 9th grade, but besides that didn’t really compete.

q.Adoro jogar desportos coletivos. O meu favorito é badminton, que o meu pai me introduziu quando eu era ainda muito pequena. Ganhei um torneio escolar quando estava no 9º ano, mas além disso nunca competi seriamente.

18.Also I love to dance. I won the school dance competition on my first entry. And was also in a dance group for quite some time. I always wanted to learn ballroom dance, I think it is beautiful.

r.Também adoro dançar. Ganhei a maratona de dança da escola na minha primeira participação. E fiz parte de um grupo de dança por bastante tempo. Sempre quis aprender dança de salão, que acho muito bonita. 

19.My favourite season of the year is fall. And I love celebrating Halloween.

s.A minha estação do ano favorita é o outono. E adoro celebrar o Halloween. 

20.I am afraid of heights, being alone in the dark and most bugs, especially spiders.

t.Tenho medo de alturas, estar sozinha no escuro e de maioria dos insectos, especialmente aranhas.

21.I have always loved photography. I consider myself an amateur photographer, since I have never had any type of education on it. I will use anything available to photograph, even if just my eyes (yes, I will place myself in the best position for the shot just so I can picture the photograph) and prefer to photograph buildings, not people!

u.Eu sempre adorei fotografia. Considero-me uma fotógrafa amadora, visto que nunca tive qualquer tipo de formação. Uso qualquer coisa disponível para fotografar, mesmo que só os meus olhos (sim, eu chego mesmo a posicionar-me da melhor maneira para conseguir ver como ficaria a fotografia) e prefiro fotografar edifícios, não pessoas!

22.I am very clumsy and end up hurting myself a lot. Worst thing about it is that my skin takes decades (seriously) to heal. I have scars and bruises that I barely remember what they are from.

v.Eu sou muito desastrada e acabo por magoar-me com frequência. O pior disso é que a minha pele demora décadas (a sério) a sarar. Eu tenho cicatrizes e nódoas que eu já mal me lembro de que foram.

23.I can write with both hands, although one (right) goes much faster than the other. I practise to become ambidextrous.

w.Eu consigo escrever com ambas as mãos, apesar de que com uma (direita) vou bem mais depressa. Pratico para ser ambidestra.

24.I only learned how to properly swim when I was 17 years old.

x.Só aprendi a nadar aos 17 anos.

25.I was awarded best german student in school and was placed 4th in a translation contest.

y.Ganhei o título de melhor aluna de alemão na escola e fiquei colocada em 4º lugar num concurso de tradução.

26.I am not or ever was a photogenic person. I try very hard for this blog, because I want to share my passion for style.

z.Eu não sou nem nunca fui fotogénica. Eu esforço-me muito para este blog, porque quero partilhar a minha paixão por estilo.

27.I am seriously afraid of thunder storms.

aa.Tenho mesmo muito medo de trovoada.

28.I keep a memory box, filled with notes, photographs, drawings, medals, postcards, letters and small items that bring me back memories. It is completely full already.

bb.Eu guardo uma caixa de memórias. Está cheia de notas, fotografias, desenhos, medalhas, cartões, cartas e pequenos objetos que me trazem memórias. Já está completamente cheia.

29.I have a very loud and contagious laugh.

cc.Eu tenho uma risada muito alta e é contagiosa.

30.I can’t whistle.

dd.Não sei assobiar.

31.I am an atheist, but was raised as a christian. I was in a youth group for many years and sang and played for mass, weddings and christenings.

ee.Eu sou ateia, mas fui criada como cristã. Fiz parte de um grupo de jovens por muitos anos e cantava e tocava para a missa, casamentos e batizados.

32.My boyfriend used to call me Jigglypuff (yes, the pokemon) when I got mad, because I really do fill up my checks and turn red.

ff.O meu namorado costumava chamar-me de Jigglypuff (sim, o pokémon) quando eu fico zangada, porque eu realmente encho as bochechas e fico muito vermelha.

33.I have twisted both knees and an ankle. I still complain about my knees today. It never goes back to normal.

gg.Eu já torci ambos os joelhos e um tornozelo. Ainda hoje eu queixo-me dos joelhos. Nunca volta a ser como era.

34.My first name was supposed to be Filipa, because my older brother wanted a brother and wanted to call him Filipe. But then my father decided to change it to Micaela. And that is how I got a second name.

hh.O meu nome era suposto ser Filipa, porque o meu irmão mais velho queria um irmão e queria chamar-lhe Filipe. Mas depois o meu pai decidiu mudar para Micaela. E foi assim que fiquei com o segundo nome. 

35.I started using glasses in 7th grade, because I couldn’t see projections. From then on it has only got worse and now I cannot see at a distance.

ii.Comecei a usar óculos no 7º ano, porque não conseguia ver projeções. Desde então só piorou e agora não consigo ver à distância.

 

36.I love doing yoga and try my best to meditate regularly. I have been doing it for more than 2 years now.

jj.Eu adoro fazer yoga e esforço-me por meditar regularmente. Faço ambos há mais de 2 anos já.

37.I have never got drunk.

kk.Nunca me embebedei.

38.I like blueberry flavoured things, but I don’t like blueberries (eating the actual fruit).

ll.Gosto de coisas com sabor a mirtilos, mas eu não gosto de mirtilos (a fruta em si).

39.I pour the cereals first! And I practically only eat one kind of cereal (CHOCAPIC FOR LIFE), because I will only drink the leftover milk if it is chocolaty.

mm.Eu ponho os cereais primeiro que o leite! E eu só como uma espécie de cereais, basicamente (CHOCAPIC PARA A VIDA), porque eu só beberei o leite que restar se ficar com sabor a chocolate.

40.I always sleep with the covers up to my ears. There is no other way. I don’t care how hot it is.

nn.Eu durmo sempre com os cobertores até às orelhas. Não há outra maneira. Não importa quanto calor está.

41.I am from the time when Panda was for all ages and Disney only played cartoons. Great times. I loved Sakura, the card captor, Sailormoon, Kim Possible, Dave, the Barbarian, The Power Rangers, Pokemon, Digimon, Bayblade and so much more.

oo.Eu sou do tempo em que o Panda era para todas as idades e a Disney só passava desenhos animados. Adorava Sakura, As navegantes da Lua, Kim Possible, Dave, o Bárbaro, Os Power Rangers, Pokémon, Digimon, Bayblade e tantos mais.

42.I eat a lot of chicken. A LOT.

pp.Eu como muita galinha. MUITA mesmo.

43.I have suffered from alopecia, due to stress. One day I woke up and a patch of my hair had completely fallen off. It was very scary.

qq.Eu já sofri de alopecia, devido a stress. Um dia acordei e um pedaço do meu cabelo tinha simplesmente caído por completo. Foi muito assustador.

44.I have allergic to the air, basically. I have chronic sinusitis, so I am constantly sick and will get itchy pimples all over my skin when in contact with dust or if I don’t frequently change my bed sheet.

rr.Eu sou alérgica ao ar, basicamente. Sofro de sinusite crónica, por isso estou constantemente doente e fico com bexigas e comichão por toda a minha pele quando em contacto com pó ou se não trocar os lençóis da cama com muita frequência.

45.My hair seems to have different colours depending on how the sun hits it (blond or ginger) as my eyes turn into a caramel colour.

ss.O meu cabelo parece ter cores diferentes dependente de como o sol lhe atinge(loiro ou ruivo), tal como os meus olhos tornam-se em cor de caramelo.

46.I have very big wide eyes that are very sensitive to brightness. My laptop brightness never leaves zero.

tt.Tenho olhos muito grandes e abertos que são muito sensíveis à claridade. A luminosidade do meu portátil nunca sai do zero.

47.I have never smoked or tried to. I can’t even stand the smoke.

uu.Nunca fumei ou experimentei. Nem aguento cheirar o fumo de cigarro.

48.I don’t like watching series, because I get addicted. It takes up too much of my time, because if I started then I have to watch it all in just one take. And I get very bored if they extend it for too many seasons. Sometimes it is better if it is only one season long (example: Sword Art Online <3)

vv.Não gosto de ver séries, porque fico viciada. Ocupa-me demasiado tempo, porque se começo tenho que ver tudo de uma vez. E fico farta se se prolongam por muitas temporadas. Por vezes é melhor não passar da primeira mesmo (exemplo: Sword Art Online <3)

49.My best friend is my other half. We have been friends for almost 8 years. She is part of me. ❤

ww.A minha melhor amiga é a minha alma gémea. Nós somos amigas há quase 8 anos. Ela é parte de mim.

50.I love planning things. And I get very stressed when I can’t plan things.

yy.Adoro planear e fico muito stressada quando não consigo planear as coisas.
